Isn't life a trip? My
son Joshua is 4 years old and I often wonder if he will be like me. Will he behave like me when I was in school?
He attends Montessori of Brea. Yesterday when I picked him up his teacher
asked to speak with me. She said
there was a little problem in class.
"Oh no," I thought. "What did he do?"
She said that while
her back was turned, he left his desk, gathered two waste baskets, wore them as
boots, and marched around the perimeter of the class while all the kids laughed
and cheered. She chased him around the room, wastebasket boots and all, telling him to stop.
As she explained, I maintained a tight lip showing discontent
and anger. However, I could hardly keep from laughing as I
imagined the scene. Laughing because that sounded like a page right out of "Ye Ole San Gabriel Academy Chronicles." Of course he was punished that evening, as he WILL behave better than I in the classroom
...but deep inside I love the fact that
he is me.
As I type, something came to mind.
It is not the situation in which you are that is most important,
but how you deal with it.
Take care, and allow me to leave you with a paraphrase from the great Katt Williams...
"Enjoy your life!"
(it goes by way too quick)
